Campus Trails Legacy Fund:

We're grateful to be able to bring our community-centric vision to life in Huntsville – a beautiful town that serves its community members so well. In that spirit, Pat Dube (owner of Greystone) established the Campus Trails Legacy Fund.

Excerpt from Press Releases:

Greystone has maintained a strong reputation in Muskoka in both commercial and residential construction since 1995, and its deep commitment to the surrounding community is well known. Pat Dube, owner of Greystone, has a long history of supporting the Huntsville Hospital Foundation (HHF), and his dedication continues with the establishment of the philanthropic Campus Trails Legacy Fund.

The Campus Trails Legacy fund has pledged to donate $1,000 to the Hospital Foundation in the name of every owner of the Campus Trails project. The first cheque for $30,000 was presented to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation on October 13th, 2021, outside of The Tom at Campus Trails, with residents, Foundation administrators, community members, and Greystone team members in attendance.

Katherine Craine, Executive Director of Huntsville Hospital Foundation explains, “The Campus Trails project is visionary, just like its builder Pat Dube and Greystone for creating the Campus Trails Legacy Fund. They have the vision of a community that is connected, healthy, and vibrant and one that promotes healthcare and wellness. Their leadership is inspirational. What a beautiful act to honour the new buyers of The Tom and the newest build, The Alexander with a generous donation to the hospital.”

“We hope the Campus Trails Legacy fund will either reinforce existing relationships or foster new involvement within the healthcare community,” says Dube – and according to residents, this is exactly what’s begun to happen.

Greystone's Campus Trails Legacy Fund pledged $1,000 for every unit sold at their condo development, Campus Trails. In August 2021, Greystone donated their first installment of $30,000 after selling out all the units in The Tom building. Greystone's latest donation of $39,000 comes from the sales of the condo units at The Alexander building.

“I feel I speak for everyone here at Greystone and our Campus Trails residents to date when I say we are delighted to have this opportunity to give back to one of the cornerstones of our community. Our local healthcare system is something that we all, at some point, will depend on,” Pat Dubé of Greystone comments.

HHF Executive Director Katherine Craine says Greystone owner Pat Dubé has been generous beyond their expectations. Dubé's passion for the Huntsville community shines through in his continued support for HHF. "Greystone’s dedication is an example of our ability to tap into and benefit from the private sector here in Huntsville," says Craine. "It's amazing to see a community, residents and business owners, that are so passionate about their hospital."

The money stemming from the Campus Trails Legacy Fund will go towards the hospital's capital expenses, ranging from basic medical equipment like stethoscopes to more advanced machines like an MRI, based on the level of urgency. This will not only help our current medical practitioners perform their duties more efficiently but also help to draw the next generation of medical professionals to the Huntsville Hospital.

Pat Dubé of Greystone, and chair of the Business Cares Huntsville Hospital Foundation initiative, describes this partnership as an instrumental pillar in supporting and building the health and vitality of a community at large. “We are encouraging the business community to reach out and learn more about the Business Cares Program and the opportunity it presents to have a hand in creating sustainable medical infrastructure and healthcare services,” says Dubé.

Huntsville Hospital Foundation is a fundraising organization dedicated to improving healthcare services for residents of Muskoka and East Parry Sound. A registered charity since 1984, its mandate is to provide ongoing capital and education resources for Huntsville District Memorial Hospital. This will ensure our hospital and medical professionals have the technology and equipment they require to provide exceptional care.
